Before the conference presentations get underway, carve out some time to work on your own scholarship! This virtual Writing Retreat provides a dedicated writing time and space with colleagues who are working on manuscripts, book chapters, etc. Plus, two informative breakout sessions give insider views on writing book proposals and tips for publishing in journals including ways to increase your article's impact!
Every academic knows how important scholarly productivity is to a career in higher education, yet finding the time and/or motivation to focus on writing can be difficult with all of the competing demands for your attention. We have created a space where you can work alongside your scholar colleagues in a virtual writing room. We're also offering Career Development Workshops and networking breakout rooms. Add it to your registration at this link.
Do you have an idea for a book, but don't know where to begin? This session, led by Madison Trammel, publisher with B&H Academic, is included in the Pre-Conference Writing Retreat and provides valuable information about book proposals and the book publishing process from production to marketing. Add the Writing Retreat to your registration at this link.
This Pre-Conference Writing Retreat workshop is designed to give you insights and ideas for scholarly productivity from the vantage point of an Editor-in-Chief, our own Dr. Kimberly Hardy, Editor of Social Work in Public Health. Learn about the writing process at every stage, learn some of the "insider" information that can help you build a strong scholarly portfolio, and more. The workshop is included in the Writing Retreat so add it your registration at this link.
